Evangelicals in Mexico report an alarming increase in violence aimed at driving nonCatholic ministries out of the country, according to Open Doors News Service.

In Mexico's Oaxaca state, alleged violations of religious freedom laws range from false arrests to seizure of private property.

The Presbyterian church of La Chiapas was attacked by a mob with sticks and stones when the congregation refused to participate in the local fiestas where mass quantities of alcohol are consumed.

In another incident in San Felipe del Progreso, Mexico State, a Pentecostal church was attacked by a mob that killed the owner of the house where Sunday morning worship services were held.
