TO THE EDITORS:

Your October 1 and October 15, 1947 issues have been resurrected and re-read because of my interest in Yugoslavia. The seven clergymen who visited Tito in 1947 included Dr. Guy Emery Shipler. They told the story of the Roman Catholic Church's role in Croatia, with Archbishop Stepinac the Nazi collaborator.

I wonder whether the Yugoslav Embassy in Washington, D.C. has attempted to influence our President and others to see the truth of why the Serbs are today so determined to establish a piece of the country for themselves. Because of the Roman Catholic Church's influence, we may not hear the facts behind the Serbs justified rebellion.
