North Star Youth Court

An alternative approach to conflict resolution

What is it?

A bar association is a body of lawyers who are in charge of practicing law in a certain area. ‘The Bar’ is commonly known as the community of people who practice law.

The NSYC Bar Association includes all students that have taken the training course and passed the bar exam. The NSYC Bar association holds monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 in the Fairbanks City Hall Council Chambers (unless otherwise stated).

The NSYC Bar association provides Continuing Legal Education (CLE’s) to the current members, as well as provide outreach to the community in forms of training sessions, alcohol awareness classes, and informational sessions. The NSYC Bar association also participates in State and National Youth Court conferences and other activities throughout the year.
