Jeff MacDonald: owner, MotoSport Training.I started riding motorcycles at age 9. I began racing motocross in 1975 at the age of 13. In 1983 I won the Alaska State Motocross Championship in the 500 pro class. I traveled to Florida in 1984 to compete in the Florida Winter Series, finishing 8th overall in the 500 cc pro class. In 1985 I contested the California Golden State Nationals, finishing 11th overall in the 500's. I placed 5th overall in the 250 cc pro class of the 1986 Pacific Northwest Series(PAC West). After competing at the Hangtown and Washougal Nationals in 86', I took time off to pursue my Bachelor's Degree. I graduated from Oregon State University in 1990 with my Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science. After Graduation I worked as the Assistent Conditioning Coach at O.S.U., designing and implementing conditioning programs for all intergollegiate sports. I also am YMCA certified as a Fitness Specialist. Personal Statement:In my 20 year involvement with motocross I have developed a strong understanding of the physical demands of racing. I also have my degree in sport conditioning and many years experience training athletes. My practical experience with the sport, combined with my educational background will provide the training needed to reach the next level. |
