Hospice of the Tanana Valley has been a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation since October 1986. Hospice is supported by annual membership dues, lifetime memberships, annual business sponsorships, donations, fund raisers, grants, and volunteer time.
Hospice Annual Plant Sale. This sale is held on the last Saturday in May. Gardeners throughout the community donate plants for the sale. Volunteers help with planting and potting house plants, annual bedding plants, shrubs, perennials, and more.
Light Up A Life. This project begins the last of November with the lighting of a Christmas tree. For a donation of $10 you can have the name of a loved one who has passed away put on a star and placed on the tree. Hospice volunteers staff a table by the tree in the Bentley Mall through Christmas Eve.
