The History of Teisho-ji Temple
This temple is a branch temple of the Naritasan Shinshoji, Narita City, at Chiba Prefecture and its main deity is
Fudo-Myo-o ("Immovable Wisdom")
In 1953 October, the main hall was constructed and on the same year, 3rd November, a grand opening ceremony was widely held and on that occasion, Daihonzan Naritasan Nagoya Betsuin Daishoji Temple was founded. After that, with the arrangement of the area by the great support of hundred thousands of believers, it has erected various cathedral halls and eventually the full arrangement has been made. Thus until now, it has become the most outstanding place for the worship of Fudo-Myo-o deity in the Chubu district.
Teisho-ji Temple was founded by Sadayakko Kawakami who was know as the first actress of Japan and as Madame Saddayakko in the West. Many Sadayakko's belongings can be seem in the museum, "Engikan" which is on the grounds of the temple.
